Thanks for joining me!
If you’re here, I am sure you’ve hit rock bottom too. My answer to when life gets you down? Travel.
Homeless? May as well be homeless in Budapest. Friends turned out to backstabbing? Go to Paris and meet all the great people there. No job or work experience? Do a work stay.
I firmly believe travelling, especially solo, can do a lot for the soul. Sure, when you eventually come back home all your problems will still be there, but why not tackle them with a clear mind and a plethora of problem-solving skills under your belt you got from your travels? Because if anyone thinks solo-travelling is a walk in the park, they’re pretty delusional. I can’t tell you the amount of times a mini-disaster has occured when I’ve gone abroad; no place to stay in Paris, no money in Budapest, drunk people throwing up on you in France (actually happened to me- can only say I am grateful that it was pure wine he vomited on me). And when you begin your solo travels, I am certain you’ll encounter problems. The only difference is we can do it together.
